We intentionally work with brass for its warm golden tone, strength, and versatility. It allows us to create the oversized, sculptural shapes that are part of our signature style.
Each piece is finished with a matte 18K gold plating and a protective clear coating.
Brass is a metal alloy made primarily from copper and zinc. It has been used for centuries in everything from jewelry and decorative objects to architectural hardware and musical instruments.
We love working with brass because it can be cut, hammered, shaped, textured, and transformed into the bold forms we create.
Copper and zinc are both natural metallic elements.
Copper is known for its warm reddish tone, while zinc has a cooler, silvery appearance. When combined in the right proportions, they create brass, with its characteristic warm golden color.
Brass can naturally oxidize when exposed to air, moisture, skin chemistry, and certain chemicals. That's a natural characteristic of copper-based alloys.
Our jewelry, however, is not left as raw brass. Each piece receives an 18K gold-plated finish followed by a clear protective coating, creating additional barriers between the brass and the environment.
As with any plated jewelry, the finish can gradually change with wear, so proper care makes a difference.
Keep your jewelry away from perfume, chlorine, alcohol, harsh chemicals, and prolonged moisture. We recommend removing it before showering, swimming, or exercising.
After wearing it, simply wipe it gently with a clean, soft cloth and store it in a dry place.
